Finally after a long wait, Nikon launched its new Flagship Digital SLR D3, a successor of D2x Digital SLR. D3 is a 12.01 MP with full frame. Full frame camera from Nikon was long due as canon had a number of them in its line up by now. Other prominent features of camera include a 9 FPS motor, a live view mode for LCD viewing, dual compact flash card slots, tiff image shooting, large 3’’ LCD screen, and a new Nikon image EXPEED image processor. Nikon launched its new D300 digital SLR replacing D200 digital SLR camera.D300 has 12.03 mega pixel DX format image sensor, a new 51 point auto focus system, self cleaning sensor unit, new Nikon EXPEED image sensor, 8 fps camera motor speed with battery pack, a large 3’’ LCD viewfinder, 100% frame coverage, a new HDMI video out, live view LCD viewing, tiff mode shooting, besides other useful features. Nikon recently launched its flagship digital compact camera –COOLPIX P5100.With new Nikon EXPEED Image processor and optical lens shift VR (Vibration reduction) lens, the camera is designed to give the optimum quality and precision to photographer. With new 12.1 Digital sensors, the photographer can expect finer details and clarity in the photograph even when the ISO is raised to 3200. Nikon announced a new Ultra wide angle-fast aperture combo lens AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lens. The new lens is fully compatible with existing DX format cameras and New FX format D3 digital SLR. Nikon recently announced new standard zoom AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED quite similar to its predecessor AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8 lens. The new lens provides excellent centre-to-peripheral resolution making it ideal for both landscape and portrait photography. The lens comes with Nano Crystal coat technology to minimize ghost image and flare. Nikon’s precision Silent Wave Motor assures fast and quiet auto focus performance, with instant manual override possible. Canon recently announced its new flagship camera with whooping 21.1 mega pixel , its new  EOS-1Ds Mark III. The camera comes with features like the full frame (36 x 24 mm) sensor, larger viewfinder and UDMA support (up to 45 MB/sec) for Compact Flash cards.
